Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man following traffic stop early Wednesday Morning. Around 12:53 AM, deputies stopped a 2002 White Volkswagen Jetta for having no working taillights at the intersection of State Road 67 and Bruce Road. The driver identified as 42-year-old Adam Decoursey had just been arrested for possession of Cocaine in May. A K-9 officer arrived on the scene and alerted deputies to the presence of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle. Deputies located a black bag that contained a light colored chalky/powdery substance, believed to be crack cocaine, and a red hose with a cylindrical glass pipe with burnt residue. The substance tested positive for cocaine and weighed 24.3 grams. Decoursey had $6,485.00 on his person that was seized as evidence along with the cocaine. Adam Decoursey was then transported to the Knox County Jail, where he was booked in on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia. Decoursey was later released from jail after posting 10% of the $15,000.00 bond at the Knox County Jail.
