Mother Nature was the big winner in several weekend events throughout Knox County.
In the middle of the day Saturday, the skies open and rain poured down, causing the cancellation of the Parade of 1,000 Clowns during the Red Skelton Festival. With the amount of rain through the area over the last week, conditions at the Knox County Fair were such that officials have delayed the demolition derby and shut down the carnival rides for the night. Fair officials say they will be rescheduling the derby.
