A former Knox County resident is behind bars following her arrest on a multitude of charges in Orange County.
According to Paoli Police, they arrested Rachelle Lynn McCarter Kitchell on a Sullivan County, Indiana warrant on multiple counts of child abuse.
According to court documents, Kitchell was wanted for offenses of nearly 2-years of abuse involving multiple children. The children’s grandmother is the one who reported the abuse to authorities. Some of the allegations include intentional removal of toenails, burning the children, and use of remote control shock collars as a means of punishment.
Authorities are charging Kitchell with 3 counts of domestic battery with serious bodily injury to an individual under 14, 3 counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury, and 3 counts of domestic battery with bodily injury.
Kitchell is being held without bond in the Sullivan County jail.
